Overview
With a flurry of birdie opportunities preceding the conclusion to the round, Tom McBroom was keen to add some “teeth” back into the challenge of the Eyston Course. Playing as long as 269 yards from our black tees to a rear pin position this par 3 is possibly the longest in the country. The large double green is protected by a lake, and two bunkers, one of which is so large it contains two fescue “islands”.
The hole aesthetically grasps you when you stand on the tee and is not a tee-shot to be savoured if only enjoying a one shot advantage with four holes left to play.
